“Revival simply moves God’s people to become fully New Testament in theory and practice. The old cliché has it correct: Many of our churches are so scripturally subnormal that when they experience the biblically normal, they think it is abnormal and call it ‘revival’.”
“Sins that have been covered for decades will be brought to light and the fear of exposure and shame so long dreaded will now be thought as nothing in comparison with the prospect of cleansing and renewal”
~ Richard Owen Roberts, Revival, 24.
“Revival begins by Christians getting right first and then spills over into the world.”
“When revival comes, an intense spirit of conviction will be felt immediately. Conduct that has always seemed acceptable will appear unbelievably wicked. Prejudices that have characterized professing Christians for decades will be revealed for the grievous sins they really are. Private indulgences upon which a person has looked with favor for will suddenly seem to merit all the wrath of God poured out forever. Prayerlessness, ignorance of Scripture, sins of omission, and failure in good works will not longer be defended by a myriad of excuses, but will laid open before the God ‘with whom we have to do.'”
Revival by Richard Owen Roberts, 23
Every revival in history seems to be the result of a few people becoming so hungry for God that they wanted Him more than oxygen. Those who have such hunger will not be denied. It’s time to seek a revival that becomes the most famous address in the world. It’s time to seek a move of God that won’t quit moving.

WILMORE, Kentucky – One morning in 1970, without warning, all heaven broke loose during Asbury College’s 10 a.m. chapel service.
“When you walked into the back of Hughes Auditorium … there was a kind of an aura, kind of a glow about the chapel,” said Dr. David Hunt, a Louisville physician who was then a student.
“I always have been reminded of the verse ‘Take off your shoes, for you are standing on holy ground.’ You just walked in and sensed that God had indeed sent His Spirit.”
The service, a routine meeting, was scheduled for 50 minutes. Instead, it lasted 185 hours non-stop, 24 hours a day. Intermittently, it continued for weeks.
Ultimately, it spread across the United States and into foreign countries.
Some say it is being felt even today.
