“We want to avoid suffering, death, sin, ashes. But we live in a world crushed and broken and torn, a world God Himself visited to redeem. We receive his poured-out life, and being allowed the high privilege of suffering with Him, may then pour ourselves out for others.”

Dear Reader                                                                                                                                      Russell Kelfer has a wonderful teaching on how to memorize scripture. It motivated me to write this morning prayer. I hope it blesses you! Please check out the following site.

The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.Romans 13:12 (NIV)

“Praying in faith is not denying that you have problems, but believing that God is BIGGER than your problems.”

Rick Warren

“The more you pray, the less you’ll panic. The more you worship, the less you worry. You’ll feel more patient and less pressured.”

“Do not pray for an easy life, pray for the strength to endure a difficult one”

“The Divine Wisdom has given us prayer, not as a means whereby to obtain the good things of earth, but as a means whereby we learn to do without them; not as a means whereby we escape evil, but as a means whereby we become strong to meet it.”

~ Frederick W. Robertson

This week has been a very long and heavy week. I’m sure we’ve all had those weeks where you just want them to end and never look back at them. That is this week. First a boy named Raymond who was a sweet and kind hearted kid at the age of fourteen comitted suicide because of severe bullying. My heart is so broken that he is gone. “In the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, we see God’s decisive victory not only over death but over all God’s other enemies as well. In that one climactic event, we see the certainty that someday, in the kingdom of God, there will be no more violence, war, jealousy, or death… These forces are still alive and at work in the world, but because of the victory that God won at Easter, their doom is certain. One day death will die.”
