In the weeks and months since the “Asbury Awakening,” the move of God continues to unfold on secular and Christian college campuses, at youth events, and at churches across the country.

As CBN News reported, the Holy Spirit continues to spark fires of revival in the hearts and minds of young people.

Winterfest, an annual youth rally near Gatlinburg, Tennessee, in February saw hundreds respond to the gospel call to be baptized.

David Schilling, the youth minister for the Hardin Valley Church of Christ, in Knoxville recently told The Christian Chronicle that, at first, the event seemed almost too laid back even for young people.

This year seemed “less grandiose,” he said. The sermons were great, though some sounded like they were intended for an older audience. The worship was powerful. But there wasn’t “that larger-than-life wow factor I’ve come to expect.”

Then, during Sunday morning worship service, minister Jeff Walling asked for those who had decided to follow Christ in baptism to stand up and come forward.

And people responded in droves. According to The Christian Chronicle, the stage was packed with nearly 200 souls.

As it turns out, “what was missing actually made more room for the Holy Spirit to permeate the experience,” Schilling told the outlet.

A second worship service would also see 200 people come forward to be baptized.

Dudley Chancey, Winterfest’s organizer, described to The Christian Chronicle the mass of people coming forward, saying, “This is my 36th year doing Winterfest, and I’ve never seen that.”

‘God Is Moving So Much Here’

Just recently, an outpouring among students has also been reported on the campus of Point Loma Nazarene University, a small private Christian school in San Diego, California.

Cole Stark, who has several friends attending PLNU, told CBN News in a telephone conversation Monday that students began meeting together on Friday and Sunday nights. Stark said a couple of weeks ago one of the Friday night student gatherings went on for “24 to 26 hours with people just people just worshipping and praying.”

“It was awesome,” he said.

Stark also reported students have seen healings from diseases such as postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome. POTS is a condition in which an excessively reduced volume of blood returns to the heart after an individual stands up from a lying down position, according to the Cleveland Clinic.

“We saw a healed ankle after a girl struggled to use it properly for the past 15 years,” Stark said.

“On March 26, hundreds gathered on the beach at sunset cliffs as dozens got baptized,” Stark told CBN News in an email. “As baptisms were happening, an unrelated event released balloons into the sky. After looking at the pictures, we realized that there were 35 balloons, along with a total of 35 baptisms at the cliffs that day.”

Asbury Revival Subject of New TV Documentary

Meanwhile, the story of Asbury University’s revival in February which led thousands to the small college town of Wilmore, Kentucky, and drew attention from around the world is now being told in a new television documentary.

Christian Headlines reports the program titled Asbury Revival: Desperate for More will premiere on Redeem TV this weekend.

The documentary will highlight the story of the spontaneous event and will feature interviews with students, university staff, and other participants, according to the outlet.

Redeem TV is a donor-supported, ad-free, streaming service with no fees, according to the platform’s website

As CBN News has reported, what some have referred to as a potential new Great Awakening within Christian history started as a spark on the campus of Asbury University, where thousands of Christians gathered for two weeks of Spirit-led worship, prayer, and repentance. That unplanned outpouring is raising hopes because a previous revival in 1970 on the Asbury campus was seen as a significant driver behind the Jesus Movement of the 70s.

“What the Holy Spirit started at Asbury spread to Lee University, Samford University, Baylor University, Cedarville University, Texas A&M, Oklahoma Baptist University, Louisiana State University, Regent University, Indiana Wesleyan, and in total over 30 other college campuses. It has also spread to other parts of the world including Korea and the Philippines and continues in pockets,” Redeem TV said on its website.

The outpouring that began with the Asbury Awakening is reaching more young people as it marches on to both Christian and secular university campuses, churches, and youth events literally from one end of the country to another.

Paul Worcester, national collegiate director of the North American Mission Board for the Southern Baptist Convention, tweeted a video clip from a Sunday night meeting, writing that “God showed up” in Oahu, Hawaii’s North Shore.

“God showed up in a powerful way at the Young Adult night on the North Shore of Oahu last night! 12 indicated decisions to repent and trust Christ and many others made decisions to surrender and pursue personal revival! They even extended the meeting because how God was moving,” Worcester wrote.

Meanwhile, 3,745 miles away in Norman, Oklahoma, the Holy Spirit is on the move and a big opportunity for revival is coming to the campus of the University of Oklahoma.

In a recent Facebook post, evangelist Nick Hall reported his Pulse ministry has “booked the 86,000-seat football stadium at the University of Oklahoma for the largest student-led outreach I have ever heard of.”

Hall reminded his followers that God is faithful.  “If he can use this broke and broken kid from North Dakota, with no connections, He can use you!!!” he wrote. “He’s moving today. Revival is in the air. Put up your sails and let him take you.”

Meanwhile, the word about the Asbury Awakening continues to spread and has made it all the way to Maine.

Greg Gordon, the founder of SermonIndex.net, has been tweeting photos and clips from various places around the country. On Monday, he wrote he had met an Amish man in Maine who had heard about the Asbury revival.

“Speaking today with an Amish man in Maine. He knew about the revival in Asbury!!! He said Revival is about Repentance. I said, ‘Amen.’

Revival fame is spreading.  Even the Amish know! God spread it more.”

The revival fires from the Asbury University Awakening continue to spread to college campuses across the country. According to several reports, the Holy Spirit outpouring has reached two more colleges in Pennsylvania and Missouri as well as a middle school in Tennessee.

Author and evangelist Rick Curry posted to social media on Wednesday with the news of a revival starting on the campus of the University of Valley Forge in Phoenixville, PA.

“GREAT NEWS! Valley Forge College in Pennsylvania is still in Chapel service since 11AM AND school has cancelled classes for TOMORROW!  ‘There is a move of God coming no building can contain and no ministry will control!’ Report from trusted friend!”

Founded in 1939, the University of Valley Forge is a private Christian university and is part of an international network of Assemblies of God colleges and universities.

Dr. Michael Yeager of Jesus is Lord Ministries shared a photo and a short video on YouTube about the early stages of revival underway at the school.

Yeager, who administers the Facebook group Smith Wigglesworth, shared a message, an image, and a short video from YouTube, with the headline “REVIVAL HITTING VALLEY FORGE COLLEGE.”

“Carrie Brooks: There is a beautiful move of the Holy Spirit happening at UVF – University of Valley Forge right now… Jesus is at work in the hearts and lives of those waiting in His Presence. Thankful for His grace & kindness, ‘Better is one day in your house than a thousand elsewhere’,” Yeager shared.

There are also reports of the Holy Spirit moving at Hannibal-LaGrange University in Hannibal, Missouri.

Shane Pruitt, the national Next Gen director for the North American Mission Board (NAMB), tweeted a photo of students worshipping together on Wednesday night.

“Full house at @HLGuniversity on a Wednesday night,” Pruitt wrote.

In a follow-up tweet, Pruitt reported 8 students responded to the gospel for salvation. Pruitt delivered the gospel message at a service in the school’s chapel earlier Wednesday morning.

“Many of the faculty, staff, and students stayed after chapel to continue praying together!” he reported.

Then later Wednesday night, many more people at the university responded to the gospel.

“[Nineteen] more people got saved at Hannibal LaGrange University tonight!!!” Pruitt tweeted.

Meanwhile, spontaneous worship and prayer have reportedly begun at the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Kentucky.

The fires of revival continue to burn at Asbury University in Kentucky and numerous reports reveal the Holy Spirit has ignited several other flames that are now burning brightly at other universities and colleges around the country.

As CBN News has reported, the revival at Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky, is now on its 10th day as thousands of people continue to make the spiritual pilgrimage to this town in hopes of encountering more of God.

Just 249 miles to the south, a revival at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee is well underway. Local news reports indicate the Lee revival has now been ongoing since Monday.

‘Spontaneous Worship and Prayer’

There are also reports of spontaneous prayer and worship among the students at Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio, and at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.

Cedarville University President Thomas White shared five short video clips of the revival at his school Tuesday night.

“Tonight a large number of students gathered again to pray, read Scripture, testimonies, and to worship Jesus for about two hours! We had 2 more students saved tonight. Tomorrow night we are sending our students out to other Universities to share the Gospel,” he wrote. “Keep praying for wisdom and a genuine movement of the Lord! The last video is from students who stayed around to keep worshipping. They were still there when I left about 11 pm!”

After a weekend of massive crowds at the Asbury University revival, a big change is coming that will permanently take the revival off campus.

An estimated 15,000 to 20,000+ people attended revival services over the weekend at Asbury. This is all happening in the small town of Wilmore, Kentucky which normally has a population of 6,000.

On Sunday, Greg Gordon, founder of SermonIndex.net, tweeted a photo of people standing in line to worship on Saturday night at the university campus.

“UPDATE: Over 20,000 people came to Asbury last night, with 5 overflow buildings and a grass lawn filled. there is a 2.5 mile backup of cars going into Wilmore. Cry out to God for your FIRST LOVE to be renewed,” Gordon wrote.

Later Sunday afternoon, Gordon tweeted a video of the people standing outside of the chapel worshipping the Lord.

“Lord, let the fire of your Spirit fall like latter rain.” Don’t be a spectator, God change me! God is doing “A deep work of the Holy Spirit in our hearts and lives to prepare us for what is ahead.” #asburyrevival  #asburyawakening” he wrote.

A revival is taking place on the campus of Asbury University in Kentucky.

The Asbury Collegian reports that during a call to confession last Wednesday, Feb. 8, at least 100 people fell to their knees and bowed at the altar. Since then it has turned into a Holy Spirit outpouring that shows no signs of stopping.

For days, people have been giving testimonies, reading scripture, worshipping God, and praying in the ongoing revival. Students, professors, and local church leaders have taken part.

Alexandra Presta, the editor of the student-run website The Asbury Collegian, wrote in an article published on Feb. 8, “As a senior, I have never witnessed anything like this.”

Presta described the scene for her readers inside the university’s Hughes Auditorium.

“Peers, professors, local church leaders, and seminary students surround me— all of them praying, worshipping, and praising God together. Voices are ringing out. People are bowing at the altar, arms stretched wide,” she wrote.  “A pair of friends cling to each other in a hug, one with tears in her eyes. A diverse group of individuals crowd the piano and flawlessly switch from song to song. Some even sit like me, with laptops open. No one wants to leave.”

“The Holy Spirit was tangible in the room,” Anneli White a student at the University of Kentucky and a member at Immanuel Baptist Church told Kentucky Today. “Chains were broken, confession happened, and God was praised as holy, holy, holy.”
