“Beware in your prayers, above everything else, of limiting God, not only by unbelief, but by fancying that you know what He can do. Expect unexpected things ‘above all that we ask or think.’”
“The man who mobilizes the Christian church to pray will make the greatest contribution to world evangelization in history.”
Our lives must be as holy as our prayers.
~Andrew Murray
Our lives must be as holy as our prayers.
“Each time, before you intercede, be quiet first, and worship God in His glory. Think of what He can do, and how He delights to hear the prayers of His redeemed people. Think of your place and privilege in Christ, and expect great things!”
If the spiritual life be healthy, under the full power of the Holy Spirit, praying without ceasing will be natural.
… Andrew Murray (1828-1917), The Ministry of Intercession: A Plea for More Prayer
And of all the traits of a life LIKE CHRIST there is none higher and more glorious than conformity to Him in the work that now engages Him without ceasing in the Father’s presence—His all-prevailing intercession. The more we abide in Him, and grow unto His likeness, will His priestly high life work in us mightily, and our life become what His is, a life that ever pleads and prevails for men.[1]
